RHS Counselors will meet with students interested in applying to CVGS on Friday, January 17.  Time: TBA

How to Apply:

• Attend a CVGS Program Overview Night, this isn't required, but is recommended if you want to learn more about the program.  

Program Overview Night - Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Heritage High School (Central Virginia Governor's School side) 7:00 pm- 8:30 pm

• Fill out the application form available as a form-fill pdf document.  Your computer must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to fill out the application.  When you are finished, save it, sign and print out a hard copy to turn in to your School Counselor by February 14.  The Counseling Office has paper copies of the recommendation forms and Counselor form if you need a copy.

• Print out the Student Record Form, fill out the student part (including student and parent signatures) and attach it to your completed application.

• Ask three of your teachers (1 math teacher, 1 science teacher, and 1 other teacher) to fill out the recommendation form provided.  You can save the form (after you have filled out and signed the top part) and email it to your teachers or give them a paper copy.  Once completed, the teachers should return it to your Counseling Office.  Please give your teachers at least two weeks to fill out the recommendation.

• Before your application is completed, you also need to apply to CVCC.  Directions will be passed out during the January 17th meeting with the Counselors.
