The Early College Program

A Partnership between Campbell County Schools and

Central Virginia Community College

Important Information

For Early College Applicants and Parents

To apply to the Early College Program the student must:       

·         be a sophomore enrolled in a Campbell County high school

·         be enrolled in Algebra II/Trig or a higher level math course and have successfully completed  Algebra I and Geometry

·         have a GPA of 3.5 or higher

·         submit a completed application to the Counseling Office by February 10, 2017

The application can be obtained from the Counseling Office, attachments below or done electronically through the Campbell County website:  http://www.campbell.k12.va.us/

 

Students invited to participate in the program must take the CVCC Compass assessment in mathematics and English.  Acceptable scores must be secured prior to placement in the program. The test will be given at RHS Tuesday, February 7 (English Section) and Wednesday, February 8 (Math Section).

Informational meetings will be held for parents and students on January 17 at 6:30 pm and January 19, 2017 at 8:00 pm at the Campbell County Technical Central.

 

All students accepted into the program must participate in an orientation that will be held shortly before the beginning of the school year.  Students will be notified of the date as soon as it is set.
