We will still be collecting donations for Texas and the victims of Hurricane Harvey this week.  Please bring water, stuffed animals (preferably new), and/or dry or canned pet food to the table in the commons area.  We will deliver the donations to Gleaning for the World on Friday.  

The library will be closed today during flex for a college visit. Tutors will still report to the library. 


George Mason University has been added to the list of schools visiting RHS this fall.  Sign-up in the Counseling Office if you are interested in attending this visit.

Randolph College will be visiting today during Flex in the library.  All students MUST have an orange pass and permission of their flex teacher to attend.  If for some reason, you cannot attend a visit you have sign-up for, Miss Crie will be collect any information given out during the session for those students.

Juniors and Seniors, the list for colleges coming to visit this fall is growing every day!

The following schools have confirmed their visits in September:

  • Randolph College
  • Radford University
  • James Madison University
  • Hollins University
  • Longwood University
  • Hampton-Sydney College

You MUST sign-up in the Counseling Office to attend!  No day-of sign-ups will be accepted!

Attention 10th, 11th and 12th graders: The next SAT prep session is Tomorrow, September 7th during the school day. It will start during 3rd period and go through FLEX.  Sign up in the Counseling Office if you are interested. Meet in the conference room.


Crops Judging Practice There will be Tomorrow, all students should have rides by 5pm.

Letters acknowledging academic eligibility for juniors and seniors to become members of NHS were mailed this past Tuesday.  All forms and recommendations are due back to Mrs. Bailey and/or Mrs. Gaulke by Monday, September 11th.  If you are a junior or senior with a 3.5 GPA or higher and you do not receive a letter by today, please notify either Mrs. Bailey or Mrs. Gaulke.


The marching band will have practice today through Friday this week.

Baseball workouts will start Sept 11th and go from 3:00-5:00pm, every Monday and Wednesday rain or shine.

Softball conditioning will be today from 6 to 7:30
