The library is closed today for instruction. Student aides may make copies. It will be open for Flex. 

The Rustburg High School PTSO will have a corn hole fundraiser on October 20th at 5:30 pm (team check-in at 5:00) on the tennis courts after the block party.  It will cost $10 per team (2 people to a team) and registration will be during lunch.  Be getting your team together now!  

Seniors will meet tomorrow Oct 10th in Ms. Rierson’s room for Homecoming hall decorations from 3:00-5:00pm

There will be a senior graduation meeting today, October 9th, from 10:15-11:00

Guidance

Attention teachers: Don't forget tomorrow is college day. Wear your favorite college shirt from your Alma Mater.

Seniors, if you are taking the SATs on Wednesday, the fee waiver forms are due tomorrow if it pertains to you.

If you are taking the PSAT on October 25th and have not received a Student Practice Booklet, please come the Counseling Office to collect one

Clubs

Robotics club meeting will be this Wednesday after school in Mr. Torrence’s room at 3:00pm

Yearbooks are now on sale until December 20th for only $40.00. After that, the price will increase to $50.00. See the yearbook staff during FLEX if you need an order form. 

Underclassmen retake pictures will be tomorrow, October 10th. In addition, we will be taking club pictures that afternoon starting at 1:15 in the gym. NHS will take their group photo last at 2:30

SENIORS...The Senior Ad deadline for the yearbook is October 31st. If you want to purchase a senior page in the yearbook, you need to see Mrs. Sholes as soon as possible

NHS induction of new members will take place tonight, October 9th at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.  All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend this ceremony.  Current and new members are reminded to be in the commons area by 5:50 for line-up.  Congratulations to our newest members!!

Any current or new NHS member who is interested in a grounds clean-up service opportunity at Timbrook Library on Saturday, October 14th needs to see Emily Hale or Mrs. Bailey by this Wednesday, October 11th.

Sports

Congratulations to the Marching Red Devils on their performance in the rain at Franklin County on Saturday. The band finished in third place, just missing first place by a close margin of only two points.  Also, congratulations to the flags who won first place. The Marching Red Devils will finish their contest season at Lord Botetourt High School on October 21st.

Baseball will be rain or shine today.

Boys Basketball workouts will be today & Wednesday 3:00-4:45 p

There will be NO marching band practice today. The practice schedule for this week will be Tuesday and Wednesday for the home ball game on Thursday evening.
