  • RHS will be hosting a blood drive tomorrow (October 2nd) from 8:30 am-2:30 pm.  If you would like to donate, please sign up in the main office.  

 

Guidance

  • Reminder for Freshmen: Please be sure to bring your permission slip for the College Tour Field Trip and $10 to Mrs. Martin in the Counseling Office by Wednesday of this week (Oct. 2nd).
  • There are several FREE summer academies to work with NASA for 10th, 11th,  and 12th grade. Students who are interested in the STEM fields should stop by the Counseling Office for more information.
  • Attention juniors and seniors:  We have a limited number of spots available for the PSAT for juniors and the SAT for seniors. If you missed the deadline to sign up for the PSAT or SAT, please see Ms. Pugh or Mrs. Martin in Guidance. You must sign up by Wednesday, October 2nd. 
  • AP exam money is due Monday, Oct. 7th. Please turn in your $40 "deposit" to Mrs. Martin in the counseling office if you are taking an AP exam.
  • Attention Seniors:  The FAFSA Filing night is Monday, October 7th at 6pm in the Library. In order to file, both the parent and the student must attend.  Also, both must bring any 2018 tax forms that were filed.  See the Counseling Office if you have any questions.

Clubs

  • There will be one final information meeting for students interested in going on the 2020 Europe trip to France and Spain. This meeting will be on Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:00 in the library. 
  • The RHS STEM Club will have its next meeting on Wednesday, October 9 in Mr. Murtha’s room from 3-3:30. Please make an effort to come if you are interested!
  • Do you like public speaking? Come check out Forensics! Any students interested in participating in Forensics please come to a meeting in Ms. Rierson’s classroom during flex on Thursday, October 3. If you are unable to attend the meeting please see Ms. Rierson for information. 

 

 Sports

  • October 1st: Volleyball @ JF 5:30/7 pm/Chorus Concert 7pm
  • October 3rd: Volleyball vs. Amherst 5:30/7:00 pm


Band/Chorus/Drama

  • The Rustburg High School Choral Department will present a free concert tonight (Tuesday, Oct 1) at 7:00 p.m. called "We Are the Music Makers"! 
  • Vocal Ensemble will have a rehearsal after school on Tuesday.
