Administration

Quote of the day:

  • To be gritty is to invest, day after week after year, in challenging practice. 
  • RHS will be hosting a blood drive on October 30th from 8:30-1:30 pm. If you are interested in volunteering or donating, please stop by the main office for more information.

 

Guidance 

  • There is another SAT Prep session tomorrow from 3rd period through FLEX in the Conference Room.

  • Attention Seniors: The FAFSA Filing night is this Monday, October 8th at 6:00 pm in the library.  There will be a brief information session prior to filing the FAFSA.  Students and parents must bring their 2017 tax papers, W2's and social security numbers. 

 

Clubs

  • Congratulations to all new NHS members! All new NHS members need to come see Mrs. Bullington this week for NHS info!

  • There will be a joint NHS and MAC Club meeting after school on Monday, Oct. 8th at 2:55 in the library. Please make every effort to attend.

  • The Poet’s Club will be meeting in Ms. Slate’s room on Oct. 10th from 3-4.

  • Creative Writing club will be meeting on Wednesday, October 17th from 3-4 in Ms. Banton’s room.

  • This week is SPIRIT WEEK! Show your school spirit and earn points for your flex house.

  • Have you ever wanted to just throw a pie in the face of Mr. Shields?  Save up your pennies and donate this week to see which administrator will take pies to the face during the bonfire on Thursday night.  All money will be donated to Human Kind to help support local families and children.

  • Participate in Grit Challenges all this week!   Challenges will be passed out during flex.  Turn in a correct answer during lunch and earn points for your house.

  • The kindness challenge of the week is to bring in new socks for socktober. The socks will be donated to Center of Hope homeless shelter in Lynchburg.  Each flex family will compete to collect the most NEW socks.

  • On Oct. 7Th FCA will be having an event… FIELDS OF FAITH from 6-8 at BHS.


Sports

  • Are you interested in being a Devilette? Anyone interested we will be having practices this week
