  • We will be having a blood drive on October 30th.  If you are interested in donating blood, please come by the main office to select an appointment time and receive your donor packet. 

  • The flu mist will be given at Rustburg High School Friday November 2,2018 from 8:30-9:30 AM. If you would like a form you may download and print it from the Campbell County School Website, or there is copies in the Main office at the school. Please have the forms turned in NO later than Monday October 29, 2018 to Nurse Woolfolk  

 

Guidance

  • Attention College-Bound Athletes:  The Nationally Acclaimed Program "Guiding the College-Bound Athlete" is coming to Heritage High School tomorrow, October 24 at 7:30 pm.  The program is for athletes and parents grades 8-12.  See the Counseling Office more details.

  •  ODU is coming tomorrow. They offer top rating majors in Health Sciences, Business Management and Marketing, Education, and Psychology.

  • The Virginia Technical Institute is visiting on October 29 and they offer hands-on training in a variety of fields including electrical, plumbing, heating and air, welding, pipe-fitting, carpentry, masonry, industrial maintenance, and project management. 

  • The Jefferson College of Nursing will be visiting on November 12.

  • Central Virginia Community College is having an Open House this evening from 6-8 in the CVCC Multipurpose room.

  • There is a SAT Prep Session at the Tech Center this Saturday, October 27 from 8:30 - 10:30 am.  Sign-up in the Counseling Office if you are interested.

  • The last day to sign up for the 11/8 ASVAB is this Friday. This is for 11th and 12th grade students only.

  • This nine weeks, we had 203 students on the Honor Roll list who had a GPA between 3.5 and 3.99 and 171 students on the Principal's list who had a 4.0 and above.  Names can be found on the RHS website under School Counseling.

  • The ACT Prep session has been cancel for today.

  • The next Senior Council meeting will be held on Monday, October 29th during flex and at 3 pm in Ms. Rierson's room.

Clubs 

  • The Spanish Club will meet  tomorrow, October 25, after school.  Our exchange students will be sharing presentations about Spain.  Please sign up to bring in food to share with the exchange students.  Sign up sheets will be in Mrs. Ibarra's and Mrs. Solórzano's classrooms.

  • Congratulations to all newly inducted NHS members! New members need to bring their signed pledges to Mrs. Bullington and their $10 dues to Mrs. Burrell by Friday, Oct. 26th. 

  • There will be a creative writing club meeting on Nov. 14th in Mrs. Banton’s room from 3-4.

  • Do you like dancing?  Have you ever wanted to be part of a dance team?  Well now is your chance.  RHS is now offering a dance team. We will have our first meeting on this Monday, October 29 from 3:00 to 4:15 in the Conference Room.

Sports

  • The JV football game for tonight has been rescheduled.

  • The Varsity football game will be played tonight at 7.

Reminders:

  • The guys ordering day for Jostens will today during all lunches in the Cafeteria. All seniors need to order their cap, gown, and other graduation items on one of these days. A $75.00 deposit is requested to place an order. Extra graduation packets are available in the main office.

  • Ms. Trent’s 10th grade classes will be meeting in Ms. So’s classroom today.

  • All of Coach Russell’s PE classes please report to the auditorium and bring something to work on.

  • All of Mrs. Moran's classes report to the classroom today, and NOT to the Library as planned.

  • There will be a Ring Dance Decoration meeting in the Library afterschool today.     

  • Seniors, if you are purchasing a senior page in the yearbook the deadline is Oct. 31st. If you have any questions or need more information please make sure to see Mrs. Sholes.
