  • The Jefferson College of Nursing will be visiting on November 12.

  • Summer Governor's School applications are now available.  These programs offer a week-long learning opportunity during the summer in the following fields: (Marine Science, Humanities, Engineering, Agriculture, Math/Science/Technology, Medicine and Health Science, Visual and Performing Arts, Foreign Lang. (French, German, Spanish) Latin Academy or Japanese Lang. Academy.)

  • Any sophomore and junior who is interested in the summer governor school program please come see Ms. Vance in the counseling office for applications and more information.

  • All new scholarships have been added to the Junior/Senior website including some for 2 for ALL grade levels.  Check out the website for more details.


  • There will be a creative writing club meeting on Nov. 14th in Mrs. Banton’s room from 3-4.

  • Poet’s Club will meet in Ms. Slate’s room Nov. 28th. Please bring a poem and snack to share.

  • Spirit Club will be meeting today after school in Mr. Murtha’s room (D6).

  • SELFIE the One Act competition piece will be performed this Friday at 3:15 in the auditorium.  It is free and everyone is invited to come and support the drama team before the compete this Saturday at HHS.  Everyone is also invited to watch the one act competition on Saturday at 3:45pm at Heritage High School.

  • Spanish Club will meet in Señora Solórzano’s room on Thursday, November 8th, after school.  Please bring art supplies to make Christmas cards to send to Guatemala. 

  • National French Week starts next week! French Club members are invited to meet Monday from 3-5 in Mrs. Cartwright's room after school to watch a French movie. Non-members may attend for $1.

  • French Club T-shirts cost $15. Orders are due by Friday, November 16th. Please see Mrs. Cartwright for more information.

  • French Honor Society applications are due to Mrs. Cartwright by Friday, November 9th. Initiation will be Thursday, November 29th at 6:00 in the library.
