Geometry remediation begins after school on today from 3-4pm in Mr. Laughlin’s room

Any senior who has not picked up your cap and gown needs to come by them main office as soon as possible.

Seniors:  You need to take care of any overcharges on your cafeteria account as soon as possible.


The Virginia State University Scholarship is due today and the Rustburg Christmas Parade Scholarship is due tomorrow. Keep applying!

Attention Students:  If you applying for the Southern Landscaping Summer Course, the applications are due to the Counseling Office by Friday, May 12.

Attention Seniors:  If you qualify for the Board of Education Diploma Seal for Excellence in Civics Education, the form you received in March is due by Friday, May 12 to the Counseling Office.

Attention Juniors and Seniors:  You and your family are invited to participate in the 2017 Virginia Private College Week tour.  It will be held July 24 through July 29.  Come to the Counseling Office for additional information.

Attention Seniors

If you are interested in applying for the Campbell County Youth Advisory Council which provides opportunities for leadership and community service AND looks great on college applications, please see your counselor ASAP for more information.



This past Friday, students attended an awards ceremony for the local French Alliance writing contest.  For level 5, Madi Alvis placed 3rd and Abbi Chewning placed 5th.  For level 4, Carrie Lloyd placed 1st, Mary Dutter placed 2nd, Bethany Holzknecht placed 3rd, Katelyn Lloyd placed 4th, and Brennen Powell placed 5th.  For level 3, Christian Jones placed 1st and Aaron Bailey placed 5th.  For level 2, Candace Wilson placed 1st.  Rustburg students won 10 out of the 25 awards available, and 23 other RHS students received honorable mentions. Congratulations to these students!

The Spanish Club's end of the year party will be Thursday, May 18 from 3-5pm.  Bring a friend for $1.  The activity is a surprise!

Disney rehearsal starts today from 3-6pm in the auditorium

The French Club End of Year Party will be in the conference room on Friday, May 12th from 3:00-4:30.


JV and Varsity Cheerleading Tryouts will be on May 22- May 24. Times for May 22nd and 23rd will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Time for May 24th tryouts will start at 3:30.

There will be an Interest Meeting for all those trying out. It is HIGHLY recommended that all athletes trying out as well as parents attend this meeting.  It will be on May 15th at 7pm (following Open Gym
