Teachers for Tomorrow students are reminded their portfolios are due Tuesday, May 26.

There will be a meeting during Flex on May 26th for anyone interested in the California Trip next summer. We will be visiting San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. See Coach Nagy for details.

Anyone taking AP Government next year needs to see Coach Nagy for their summer assignment.

Any Sophomores or Juniors interested in signing up for the driving range for the months of June and July, please see Ms. Trent ASAP.

Did you forget to buy a yearbook? Buy one now for $55. On sale before and after school and during lunch in the yearbook room.

 

Sports

Rustburg's girls and boys track team finished 2nd at Conference 30 Track Championship. The individual conference champion: Isiah Garland in the 100&200 meters , Morgan Alvis in the 1600&800 meters and Colby Hudson won the 1600 meter race. Autumn Smith won the 100 hurdles. The 4by1 relay Mike Jones,Trevon Tucker,Nic Tweedy and Isiah Garland won this event.

The following athletes were named to the All Conference Team: Katie Abell, Lauren Mosley, Kalin Cook, Madison Alvis, Sarah Thomason, Chyna Davis, Sierra Lewis, Kianna Fore, Katie Baker, Jacob Booth, Jacob Grove, Jacob Wright, Carter Elliott, Gabe Dunaway, Bethany Holznecht and Kaylee Elliott.


Morgan Alvis was named Conference 30 Female Athlete Of The Year.

 

The Varsity Boys Soccer team plays on Monday night at City Stadium in the first round of the Conference tournament.  The kick off is 7:45 P.M.  The players' bus departs R.H.S. @ 6:30 P.M.

The team plays in red on Monday.

 

Any young man interested in playing football next fall should attend the Rustburg H.S. Football Mini-Camp.  The camp will run June 1-4 from 3:15 to 5:15 PM following school.  All participants will need cleats and workout clothing.  Arrange for a ride home at 5:30.  Any questions see Coach Baker.
