  • RHS will be hosting a blood drive with the American Red Cross on March 18th.  You must be at least 16 to donate. If you would like to volunteer or donate, please come by the main office.



  • scheduled for makeup tests will need to report to G106 after morning announcements.  Bookbags, cell phones and wearable technology should be placed in your locker prior to testing.   
  • Are you in the 9th grade and will you be the first in your family to attend college?  If yes, then Virginia Tech is offering an opportunity for you to experience college life for FREE from May 29th to May 31st. You will get to live in a college dorm, eat in the dining halls, and participate in lots of fun activities!  Stop by the Counseling Office for full details.


  • Cheerleading open gym will start open gym on Monday March 9th. If you have any questions, please see Coach Mitchell.
  • Do you want to play Dodgeball this Saturday? If so, go talk to Mr. Laughlin. We are looking for a team to represent RHS at a tournament at Altavista Combined from 4-9 pm this Saturday. First 10 to sign up get a spot. Talk to Mr. Lauglin TODAY.



  • Seniors: The last day to buy prom tickets is today. Please see Mrs. Banton by 3:00 pm if you'd like to buy a ticket. Price is $40. No tickets will be sold after Friday. 
  • Yearbooks will be on sale through March 20th for $65. They are first come first serve. Order forms will be available in the main office and outside of Mrs. Carr's room. Students may turn money in before school, flex, and 5th period only.
