Breakfast is free all this week for all students.

All of Mr. Clark's classes, and Mrs Sholes' Econ Classes need to report to the conference room B-106, B-105 tomorrow due to testing in their rooms. Text books will be needed for Mr Clark’s class.

After school, Geometry remediation will be available for those students who are re-taking the Geometry SOL in the spring.  Remediation will be from 3-4 in Ms. Gledhill's room



Attention AP Students:  All AP exam money and forms are due to the Counseling Office no later than next Wednesday, March 14.  Even if you are NOT taking an AP exam, the form still needs to be returned.

Attention Juniors and Seniors:  Powell Trucking Equipment is looking for summer help.  You will work from 8 to 5.  You must be willing to answer the phones, have good attendance and daily transportation. The pay is around $10 an hour.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Harris in the Counseling Office.

Three scholarships have deadlines on Friday.  These are the: Kenneth Scott, John Lillard, and Willard Plentl Scholarships.

Virginia Tech is hosting a Construction Engineering and Management Preview Day on Saturday, April 21 from 12 – 4 p.m. Juniors and seniors are invited to spend an afternoon at Virginia Tech learning about the Construction Engineering and Management major and the career opportunities after graduation. This free event will begin with a tailgating lunch and then students and family members will be divided into groups to rotate through sessions that will allow them to experience the VT Build Lab, hear from a panel of current students, hear from a panel of current industry representatives, and participate in a hands-on activity that combines the elements of teamwork and engineering. At the end of the event, students and family members are invited to join current students for a campus tour. Come to the counseling office for more information on this event.


The next NHS meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 13th at 3 p.m. in the library.  All members are reminded that you must attend 80% of our meetings to continue to be a member.

Any NHS member interested in helping with the Yearbook's first Color Run can sign up outside Mrs. Bailey's door on the bulletin board.  The run is March 25th from 2-5 here at RHS.  Members are needed to help set-up, run stations throughout the course, and participate with children 7 and under in the activity center.

No senior council meeting this week.

On Thursday March 8th the yearbook staff will be hosting a Blaze Pizza Night at Blaze Pizza on Wards Road to raise money for publication. Please join us from 5:30 and 8:30 and make sure to mention the fundraiser so that 20% of the proceeds will go to the fundraiser.  

Also, The Yearbook Staff will be hosting their 1st Annual 5k Color Run/Walk here at the high school on March 25th at 3:00 p.m. If your pre-register by March 16th, you will receive a free t-shirt, color packet, and a pair of sunglasses. The cost of the color run/walk is $20.00 For more information, please see Mrs. Sholes. 



For any students interested in JV, Sideline, or Competition Cheerleading There will be a Parents and Athletes Meeting tonight at 6:30 in the conference room. Cheer Conditioning/Open Gyms will be on Tuesdays at 5-6:30 starting March 13th. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Mitchell in the Library.

Girls Varsity Soccer practice will take place on the Band Field today and tomorrow from 315-5pm.  Abbott-Duncan Thursday - Friday 315-5pm

Symphonic band members will have practice today and Thursday this week from 3 to 4 p.m.
