The RHS Student Learning Center will be open this week during flex on Tuesday and Thursday and Thursday after school until 3:45 in the guidance conference room.  If you need a tutor, please fill out a tutor request form in guidance.  Students who visit the Student Learning Center will be entered into a drawing for a special prize this week! 

 

Guidance

Attention students:  If you picked up an application for Teachers for Tomorrow, Elementary Teacher's Aide or Yearbook, please return the completed applications to the Counseling Office no later than Wednesday, April 15th.  This date may be different than what's on the applications, please note the change.

 

Attention students:  If you have met with your Counselor and picked classes for next year, please return your signed registration form to the Counseling Office no later than Wednesday, April 1.


Clubs  / Miscellaneous

Congratulations to Amanda Ivanoff and Chelsey Fix for their outstanding performance at state forensics competition this weekend. Amanda finished in fifth place in impromptu speaking, and Chelsey is the new state champion in dramatic interpretation. Great job ladies!



Geometry remediation after school from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in Mr. Laughlin’s room TODAY!!

 

Teachers for Tomorrow students are reminded their Lynchburg College assignments are due next Wednesday, April 1st. 

 

Any NHS student interested in earning hours by helping Mrs. V. with the upcoming production of Oliver needs to see Mrs. V. or Mrs. Bailey.  Opportunities include helping to build and paint sets to selling programs, tickets, or working concessions.  Help is needed April 1st-4th, 10th-12th, and the 16th-18th.

 

Spanish Club will meet after school on Thursday, April 2 from 3-4pm.

 

The Dodge Ball Tournament has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 22.  All registration forms and money ($20) need to be turned in to Mrs. Inge in classroom E130 by Friday, April 17.  Times are the same, teams and sponsors have to be in the auditorium at 5 PM for a rules meeting.  The games start at 5:30 PM.

 

Sports

The JV and Varsity Boys Soccer teams venture across the county to play the Brookville Bees this evening. The teams will wear their red uniforms. The bus is scheduled for 3:45 P.M.

Registration forms for the Dream Big Sports Academy are available in the main office.  This Leadership Academy will again be hosted by Rustburg High School April 6-8.  Attendance is free for RHS athletes and registration forms are due back by April 1st.
