The Sadie Hawkin's Dance will be held on February 17 from 7-10pm at Rustburg High School.  Tickets will be $10 at the door and $8 in advance.  Tickets will be on sale during lunch tomorrow January 24th, 29th, and February 5th tickets will be sold in the morning and at lunch on February 5th as well as on February 12th.  Carnations will also be on sale for $2 on the days that tickets are for sale and on Valentine's Day during the morning and at lunch.  All proceeds will support the RHS PTSO 2018 After Prom Party.  If you are bringing a date from another school, you must complete a date form, which will be located in the main office. They will be delivered on Valentine's Day.

Looking to make a scientific contribution? Or just a little extra credit? There will be an informational meeting regarding the Central Virginia Regional Science Fair this Thursday, January 25th after school in Mr. McRorie's room D115.

The library is closed today due to Tech Center presentations. 

Guidance

Attention Seniors:

If you would like the Counseling Office to send your Mid-term report to the colleges, you have applied to please see Mrs. Martin in the Counseling Office by tomorrow Jan. 24.

Attention Sophomores:  Campbell County has rescheduled the Early College information session for tonight, January 23rd at 6:30 pm and Thursday night, January 25th at 8:00 pm, both at the Tech Center.

Attention Juniors:  If you interested in the Dual Enrollment program (Welding, HVAC, EMT, Health Sciences, EMS & Fire, Cyper Security, Machine Shop or Criminal Justice) the information session has been rescheduled for tonight, January 23rd at 8:00 pm and Thursday night, January 25th at 6:30 pm both at the Tech Center.

Attention 10th graders:  If you are applying to Early College, Governor's School or STEM, our make-up meeting will be today (Tuesday) during FLEX in G110.

Central Virginia Governor's School is having a program overview meeting tonight (Tuesday) from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Governor's School building.

Attention 10th, 11th and 12th graders:  The next SAT prep session is tomorrow from 3rd period through FLEX.  Sign up in the Counseling Office if you are interested.


Clubs

The next Poet's Club meeting will be Wednesday, January 31st from 3:00-4:00 in Mrs. Slate's room. We will be working on the poetry newsletter, so please bring an original work to submit.

The French Club meeting has been moved from today to Thursday, February 1st from 3-4:30 in Mrs. Cartwright's room.

French Honor Society Concord teachers will meet in Mrs. Cartwright's room today from 3:00-4:30. The next French Club meeting will be in Mrs. Cartwright's room Thursday, February 1st from 3:00-4:30.

The Congres (Con-GRAY) field trip for French Students and National French Contest registration end this week.  The Davidson & Bartle Scholarship for French students is due today.

Due to snow and missed days of school, any NHS member who signed up to purchase a shirt may pay through Friday, February 2nd.  Please see Mrs. Bailey before or after school to pay.

The next regularly scheduled NHS meeting will be Tuesday, February 13th in the library right after school.  There will be no January make-up meeting.

January's Spanish Club meeting will be held at La Carreta at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow night, January 24th.  Please let your Spanish teacher know if you plan to attend.  Gracias.

Anime Club will be Friday Jan. 26th from 3:00-4:00pm in Mrs. Burrell’s room.



Sports

Audition for Hairspray Jr auditions are today and tomorrow from 3:15 - 5:30pm. You only have to come 1 day and you must come with a 1-minute song and ready to dance. Sign up in Ms. V’s room or the main office today.  

No Driving Range today

Boys soccer conditioning is canceled for today 1/23.  There will be conditioning on Wednesday 1/24 starting at 3:30. There will be an informational team meeting at 3:05 in the cafeteria on Thursday 1/24 before Thursday's conditioning session.
