  • Virginia Tech is hosting their 2020 Black College Institute this summer for current sophomores and juniors.  The institute is free to students.  Students will participate in the residential, academic leadership program at the Virginia Tech main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia.  If you are interested, please come by the Counseling Office to pick up a flyer regarding that application process. 
  • Attention Sophomores:  If you are interested in the Early College Program next year, Campbell County is holding an information session on Tuesday, January 14 at 6:30 pm and Thursday, January 16 at 8:00 pm at the Campbell County Technical Center.
  • Attention Juniors:  If you are interested in the Dual Enrollment Program for next year, Campbell County is holding an information session on Tuesday, January 14 at 8:00 pm and Thursday, January 16 at 6:30 pm at the Campbell County Technical Center.
  • We are MAP testing for English 9 today.  Students testing during the morning session will report to their testing locations after morning announcements.  Students testing during the afternoon session will report to their testing location after third lunch at 12:23.

  • There will be an informational meeting regarding the trip to Rome & Athens 2021 on Jan. 15th at 6 pm in the library.  Please see Mrs. Bullington if you and your parents are interested.

 

 Sports 

  • Congratulations to the RHS swim team!  They participated in the HILL CITY relay and sprint meet to support and raise funds for Local athlete, Cassidy Richardson on Friday at the Jamerson Y. Sydney Fairchild placed in the top 8 in 50 and 100 Freestyle.

  • January 14th: Track @ Heritage (6 pm)

Band/Chorus/Drama

  • Auditions for Vocal Ensemble will begin today (Monday). Any student interested in auditioning for Vocal Ensemble for the 20-21 class, please sign up on the list on the chorus room door.  Auditions will be held during flex as students are available.

Reminders:

  • The Sadie Hawkins dance will be February, 15th. Date forms are in the office.
  • The library is closed today for MAP testing.
