Attention students:  If you are signed up to take the SATs at Heritage High School, it has been rescheduled for this Saturday, February 20th.

Guidance

Attention Sophomores:  The Tech Center field trip is today (Thursday Feb.18th).  If you are going on the field trip, and haven't turned in your permission slip, you must do so no later than 8:05 Thursday morning.

If you have Mrs. Foster for English 10, you will go to the Tech Center in the morning.  There will be an announcement for you to report to the commons area.

Mrs. Moran's English 10 classes will go to the Tech Center in the afternoon after 3rd lunch.  We will also meet in the commons area. 

There are lots of exciting college exploration opportunities happening this spring!  See Mrs. Herndon if these interest you!

 

UVA Society for Women engineers is hosting a weekend visitation program in April for current 10th and 11th grade girls who'd like to learn more about STEM.

Sweetbriar is hosting open house days for 10th and 11th grade girls interested in a STEM career, and another event for girls who are planning a liberal arts education. 

Centra's Health Career Camp is open to rising juniors interested in exploring health careers.  Applications are online, or see Mrs. Herndon for details on any of these opportunities.

 

Clubs  / Miscellaneous

Spanish Club will have its 2nd Annual Film Festival on Tuesday, February 23 from 3-5 pm.  Come enjoy a movie, refreshments, and fellowship.

Bring in those cans!!  Next week is the last week the NHS will be collecting canned goods and other items for Fighting Famine in February.  Donate what you can to help local families in need.

NHS will have their next meeting Tuesday, February 23rd at 3 p.m. in the conference room. 


Sports

Any athlete interested in running Outdoor Track there will be a meeting next Monday at 7:45am in the auditorium. If you can't make the meeting please see Coach Mosley for more details.

There will be concussion testing on Today and tomorrow this week.  Any 9th or 11th grade student interested in playing a spring sport must take the concussion test.  If you have already taken a concussion test for another sport you do not have to take it again.

Friday - Boys and Girls Soccer @ 3:10 in room G105

 
High school musical will be next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 3-5:30pm.

 

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in trying out for BASEBALL tomorrow morning at 7:50 in the boys health room.


Girl's soccer tryouts will be held on February 22nd from 3:30-5 on the band field.  Please bring an up to date physical.
