The Sadie Hawkin's Dance will be held on February 17 from 7-10pm at Rustburg High School.  Tickets will be $10 at the door. Carnations will be on sale for $2 today, Valentine’s Day (Feb 14th) this morning and at lunch.  All proceeds will support the RHS PTSO 2018 After Prom Party.  If you are bringing a date from another school, you must complete a date form, which will be located in the main office.

The Dodgeball Tournament is Feb. 22 starting at 6 pm.

Make your team by picking up a form in the office.  You need a teacher sponsor and $20 to make a team.  Forms are due by Feb. 16.  Hope to see you out there!

February is Black History Month! If interested, then come to the Library to participate in the Black History Month Challenge! 

The Rustburg Public Library is having their own Escape Room on Saturday March 3rd 2018 from 12:00 – 5:00pm. Admission is FREE and it’s open to RHS students.  Create a team of 6 or just come as you are. Sign up during lunches and in the commons during breakfast.

Attention Seniors:  In order to attend prom, you must have fewer than 10 absences for the year.  We will begin meeting with seniors this week who are in danger of not being able to attend prom.



Attention 10th, 11th and 12th graders: The next SAT Prep session is today from 3 to 4:30 and Tomorrow from 3rd period through FLEX. Both are held in the Conference Room.  There is also one this Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 am at the Tech Center.  Sign up in the Counseling Office if you are interested. 

Juniors, are you interested in boosting your resume and college application by adding a leadership conference to your list of activities?  How about going on an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC to the 2018 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour? This trip will include:

  • Visiting Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where Youth Tour participants will meet with members of Virginia’s congressional delegation, Virginia senators and tour the U.S. Capitol building.
  • Joining students from across the country in a Youth Day rally and dance
  •  A Boat ride down the Potomac River
  • Attending a Baltimore Orioles baseball game
  • Sightseeing at iconic U.S. monuments, museums, and much more!

Poets Club meeting will be today February 14th from 3-4:00 in Mrs. Slate's room. Please bring a love poem and a snack to share



Track practice today. There will an Outdoor Track Meeting Tomorrow Morning at 7:45 for anyone interested in running outdoor track. 

Girls soccer conditioning will be held tomorrow on the practice field from 315-5pm.
There will be a team meeting after school tomorrow 3:00-3:15 in the cafeteria for all interested players planning to play.
Please bring physicals in if you have not turned them in.
