  • Hoops for Cause is taking place this evening (November 25th, 2019) in the gym. Hoops for Cause starts at 6pm and will end around 8. Tickets will cost $3 or you can bring in 3 canned food items. All proceeds will go to families in need in our community. Also, come see Coach Nagy get duct taped to the gym wall. We hope to see you all there.   
  • Want to get on the court on Monday during hoops for a cause? See Mrs. Eccles or Rachel Sledd to sign up to play knock out during half time. Pay five dollars and if you win you get half of the money!

  • The Jostens class ring representative will be here today (Friday, Nov. 22nd) during all lunches to collect for class ring balances. Final balances must be paid during lunch with cash or money order as (No Personal Checks) will be accepted. No money will be exchanged at the dance. All class rings will be delivered at the ring dance on Saturday. Students can also call 1-800-JOSTENS to pay with credit or debit card from 9:00am-8:00pm before Friday.
  • All Coach Russell classes will meet in the conference room today.

  • Attention Seniors: Banker Steel is one of the top manufacturing and construction employers in our region.  They are starting a 12-week Welding Apprenticeship Program in January.  Their goal is to find students that want to learn the craft of welding and leave high school with a full-time job. There will be an informational meeting today during 5th period in the library.  Check in with your 5th period teacher before you come.

Yesterday's French trivia question was: Which French king was nicknamed the "Sun King"?  The answer is Louis the 14th and the winner is Michael Keller. Today’s question: What is the French National Bird? Place your answers in the box in the office before the 7th period today.

  • There will be an informational meeting for the 2021 trip to Rome & Athens on Wed., Nov. 20th at 6 pm in the RHS library.  Please see Mrs. Bullington to RSVP for the meeting. 
  • There will be a Cookies & Kindness event today (Monday, the 11th) during flex.
  • Congratulations to the 15 new French honor society members! Inductions will take place on Thursday, November 12th at 6:00 in the library. New and old members are required to attend. 
  • Happy National French Week! We will be decorating during Flex today in Mrs. Cartwright's room.  Each day this week we will be asking a French trivia question.  Place your answers in the box in the office throughout the day or during lunches and we will draw winners all week!  Today's question: What is the longest river in France?
  • Come to Young Life club tonight at 7:01 pm in Miss Wendt’s room to experience the best night of your week!!! Bring your checks with you if you are coming to camp next weekend. See Miss Wendt for more info. 

 Sports

  • Any athlete interested in joining Indoor Track this season there will be a meeting held Tuesday (11-12-19) morning at 7:45 in the conference room. The Official track season will start 11-13-19. Athletes must have a VHSL Physical Form in order to participate. Please see Coach Mosley or Coach Douglas for more details.

  • Boys Basketball Tryouts will begin today (November 11th).  
  • Wrestling practices will officially begin today (Monday, November 11) immediately after school.  You must have valid VHSL physical.  No try-outs.  Just show up ready to wrestle.
  • November 12th: Volleyball Regional Tournament @ Fort Defiance 7:00 pm
  • November 16th: State Volleyball Quarterfinals TBD

 

Band/Chorus/Drama

  • November 14th-16th: Aladdin, Jr. Performances 6:00 pm

  • Yearbooks are now on sale through December 2nd. They are $50.00 each. Order forms are in the main office. Please turn in money and order forms to Mrs. Carr.
  • Seniors who are interested in purchasing a Congratulations Advertisement to be placed in the yearbook, the deadline is December 2nd.
