    We have a new security system at Rustburg High School that requires an extra step in keeping our school safe. This new system requires you to scan your driver's license every time you come to the school. Whether you are volunteering,  signing them in tardy, or picking them up early, the system requires you to scan your driver's license. Please start to bring your license in with you each time you visit the school. Thank you for helping keep our students safe.

  • 9th Grade PE classes will be teaching suicide prevention the week of October 17-20.

    Administration

    Paint the Plow! Help Rustburg have the best looking Snow Plow in the area. We will be painting the snow plow Tuesday through Friday after school. Stop by Miss Gledhill's room for more info.

    If you are taking the PSAT on October 25th and have not received a Student Practice Booklet, please come the Counseling Office to collect one

     

    Please help yourself to free soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes outside of the counseling office.

    Yearbooks are now on sale until December 20th for only $40.00. After that, the price will increase to $50.00. See the yearbook staff during FLEX if you need an order form.

    Any NHS member interested in tutoring at the middle school after a few days after school is asked to sign up on the interest sheet on the bulletin board beside Mrs. Bailey's room.  The sign-up sheet will be up this week only.


    Sports

    Beginner Dance Classes from a local professional will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Oct. 30th in the auditorium. There is a $10 charge per class. Anyone interested students and adults please sign up with Ms. V in room A109.

    There will be a track team meeting held Thursday (10-26-17) in the auditorium at 7:45am for any athlete interested in running Indoor Track this season. For more details, please see Coach Mosley or Coach Douglas.

    Congratulations to the Marching Red Devils on their final contest performance for this year.  The band won 1st place in Class A competition.  This is the third 1st place award the band has won this season.  The band also won 1st place in the marching and general effect categories. Congratulations Marching Red Devils on an awesome season with the "Guardians of the Galaxy" show.

    The Marching Red Devils will have band practice next Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:30 pm.

    Sophomores and Juniors interested in applying to a FREE Summer Governor's School Program should see Miss Crie in the Counseling Office today.  The 2018 summer programs include Agriculture, Humanities, Mathematics, Science & Technology, Medicine & Health Sciences, Engineering, Marine Science, Visual & Performing Arts, and five different Foreign Language Academies including French and Spanish.

    If you are taking the PSAT on October 25th and have not received a Student Practice Booklet, please come the Counseling Office to collect one
